This week, we announced that ACI has acquired Euronet Essentis Limited (Essentis), a division of Euronet Worldwide.

The acquisition is closely linked to a market demand for more holistic solutions in the cards space, and allows ACI to offer a unique, integrated front and back office solution for the payments industry. Not only does it enrich and deepen the company’s retail banking product portfolio, but it also and adds value and choice for ACI’s existing customer base in the back office space.

Many banks need to invest in their card and merchant systems to address payments efficiency improvements, to get better direct control over their cardholder and merchant relationships or to meet regional challenges such as SEPA in Europe. Back office solutions, including card issuing and management, are essential to ensuring these projects are effective and profitable.
